Web Software Developer

Please note: This is a fulltime, non-contractual position located in Lacey, WA.

About Us:  We are a small, local company with a large, global impact. Our PIPE-FLO product line helps some of the largest companies across a variety of industries find hidden profit in the design and operation of their fluid piping systems. Our PUMP-FLO product line enhances the sales and marketing outreach of the largest pump manufacturers in the world. Together, our products have the potential to significantly reduce worldwide energy demand through the selection of the right pump for an application and the efficient design and operation of industrial piping systems.

Our web software developers are involved in all phases of development: collaborating directly with engineers, designing program features, creating user interfaces, writing new code, updating existing code, and aiding in testing.  Our developers are also called upon to assist in other areas, such as writing installation scripts and occasionally providing customer support.

Professional Skills:

  • Capable of undertaking complex problems and creating elegant effective solutions
  • Understand, recognize and foster quality code architecture and design
  • Broad perspective of development technologies and how we can use them

 

Technical Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Web Development experience with C#, JavaScript, .NET framework, C++, and web services
  • BS in computer science or equivalent experience
  • Qt or other GUI frameworks
  • Database design
  • Refactoring and working with legacy code
  • Object Oriented Design & Programming
  • Math or engineering background is desirable

 

Personal qualifications:

  • A desire to work in a self-driven, goal oriented, fun environment where insight and input on projects is taken seriously and recognized. Experience with Agile is desired.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and collaborative team environment, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills
  • A general talent at effectively coming up to speed in things that are completely new or not a core competency
  • Willing to assume varied responsibilities as needed
  • Able to work effectively with other technical and non-technical team members

PUMP-FLO Project Manager

The PUMP-FLO Project Manager contributes to the company’s success by:

  • Leading the curve catalog team and acting as the first point of contact for support of PUMP-FLO customers.
  • Assisting sales team by answering technical questions and finding creative solutions/ workarounds to specific customer needs.
  • Creating project cost estimates.
  • Managing CAD data entry team to deliver accurate and timely completion of projects.
  • Working with clients’ engineering teams to assure accurate representation of their technical data.
  • Working with clients’ marketing teams to develop OEM programs and web sites that meet their needs.
  • Maintaining up-to-date client catalog for internal and external use.
  • Working with ESI development team, engineering team and clients to develop new features.
  • Assisting test team in pre-release product hand testing.
  • Providing technical support to software users.

Technical qualifications include:

  • Three years managing a diverse set of projects from initial design through completion.
  • Technically competent, with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • BA or BS from a four-year college or university. Credit will be given for industry experience.
  • Previous management experience preferred, but not required.

Personal qualifications include:

  • Strong leadership ability.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be a team player who can motivate and interact with a diverse set of employees and customers.
  • Strong and confident presentation and customer relationship skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time-critical tasks with a calm and professional demeanor.

Business Development Engineer

The Business Development Engineer position contributes to the company's success by:

  • Being a valuable partner to Inside Sales: Assist Sales reps via technical discussions, demonstrations, and presentations to help customers understand the maximum engineering and business benefit our software products can provide.
  • Reaching new customers and organizations with our products: Prospect new customers and untapped organizations within existing accounts through research, networking, and relationship development to gain a deeper understanding of their goals and the barriers they encounter pursuing them. Help prospects recognize the value our products can provide in overcoming issues and achieving their goals. Close on sales of both products and services.
  • Provide insight to ESI management as to customer needs, goals, and values to influence the direction and priorities of product development efforts.
  • Providing customer training on concepts and products: Lead training classes covering related engineering topics as well as product usag.

 Technical qualifications include:

  • College degree in technical field: Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Civil Engineering
  • 5+ years of applied engineering experience with pumps and pumping design or operations
  • Familiarity with sales processes and techniques

 Personal qualifications include:

  • Strong and confident presentation and customer relationship skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work effectively with other technical and non-technical team members and customers, with the ability to recognize and communicate at the level appropriate for the audience.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time-critical tasks with a calm and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and collaborative team environment, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills.
