Piping System Training is a course anyone in the piping system industry can use. This course provides real-world practical knowledge for junior engineers, is a good refresher course for senior engineers, and helps operations and maintenance supervisors, design and process engineers, and operators and maintenance personnel better understand how piping systems operate. This course provides the foundation of piping terminology, mathematics, and the underlying concepts and principles that determine the performance of individual piping system elements and the system as a whole. Piping System Training places an emphasis on understanding the relationship between components that make up the piping system.

Topics covered in this 2-day course include:

• basic terminology, formulas, and principles of fluid flow

• hydraulic resistance, head loss, and pressure drop in pipelines, valves, and fittings

• centrifugal pump design, operation, power and operating cost calculations

• theory of operation of control valves, flow meters, and system components

• analysis of open, branched, and closed loop systems

• reducing capital, operating, and maintenance costs in your piping system

• piping system  modification and optimization for energy savings

Classes are from 8 AM - 5 PM with four 10-minute breaks and one hour for lunch. In-class exercises are provided so bring a calculator to test out your new skills.
