PIPE-FLO 2007 has many new features to streamline
the program operation and increase the presentation
value of the piping system model. With PIPE-FLO 2007
you can:
Isometric Grids & Smart Text
You now have the option of creating your piping
system model as an isometric drawing. Using PIPE-FLO’s
“isometric grids†and the “snap to grids†features,
you can create a professional looking drawing
quickly. Using the new Smart Text feature, PIPE-FLO
always aligns the text with the associated object.

The isometric drawing provides spatial awareness for
everyone familiar with the piping system.
Professional looking piping isometrics can be
created easily using the new isometric drawing
features of PIPE-FLO 2007.
When in the isometric drawing mode, PIPE-FLO
automatically skews the shapes to give it that
isometric look.

Create Custom Shapes
PIPE-FLO 2007 comes with Shape Editor so you can
create your own custom shapes to meet your
customer’s needs. You can also create industry
specific shapes to increase the value of the piping
schematic.

Using the shape editor you can quickly create custom
shapes for each item found in a piping system model.
Since custom shapes are automatically inserted into
the piping system model everyone will be able to
view your drawing exactly the way you made it.
Create your custom shapes to match look and feel of
the blocks used in your CAD program. That way when
PIPE-FLO exports the piping schematic to your CAD
system you don’t need to make any changes.

Copy & Paste between Projects
You can now use the copy / paste feature between
piping system models. Using this feature you can
break up larger system into smaller parts for easier
analysis, or merge multiple piping systems into a
single large model.

With the improved copy/paste command you can add a
system expansion to an existing piping system model.
The copy paste command now works like your Windows
CAD program allowing you to perform multiple inserts
with a single mouse click.

Size Flow Meters & Balancing Orifices
The sizing of flow meters and balancing orifices
have been fully integrated into PIPE-FLO 2007. Now
you insert a meter into the system, enter the meter's
design parameters, and PIPE-FLO sizes the meter and
insert the device into the piping system model.
PIPE-FLO then factors the non-recoverable pressure
losses for the meter into all PIPE-FLO calculations.

Now you can quickly design flow meters and balancing
orifices and see how they effect the operation of
the fluid piping system.

See Results Faster With AutoCalc
With the new AutoCalc feature when you make a
change to a piping system model, PIPE-FLO
Professional automatically performs the calculations
and displays the results. This is a real timesaver,
no more clicking on the Calculator button to perform
the calculations and display the results; then
clicking on the calculator button to clear the
results and edit the model.

Link PIPE-FLO to Excel®
Most engineers have developed Excel® spreadsheets to
automate the design process. Using the new X-link
feature you can create spreadsheets to automatically
read design information from the piping system
model; in addition the spreadsheet can automatically
update information in the piping system model.

Customize the Displays to Meet Your Needs
With PIPE-FLO 2007 you can customize the information
displayed on the FLO-Sheet (the piping schematic) as
well as the fly-by viewer. Now you can choose what
information is important to you and view it when you
need it.

You can customize the information displayed on the
piping schematic and on the fly-by viewer.
With PIPE-FLO
2007 you can change the size and color
of text displayed on the piping schematic. In
addition the engineering units are displayed on the
piping schematic.

Change Fluid Zones in a Lineup
The fluid temperature in piping system can vary
based on the operation of the piping system. With
PIPE-FLO Professional 2007 you can vary the fluid
temperature in a fluid zone based on a lineup. Now
you can quickly see how the piping system will
operate when starting up a cold system, and then see
how it operates when the system is at its normal
operating temperature.

By changing the fluid zones in a PIPE-FLO lineup you
can quickly see how the system operation varies with
different fluid temperatures.
