CONVAL^® 8 comes with nineteen calculation modules for calculation and optimization of common plant components. Modules include control valves and throttle elements, piping system components, heat exchangers, integrated property calculations, pump motor output, and much more.

CONVAL integrates extensive calculation functionalities for components and processes in industrial systems, based on tried-and-tested methods, such as DIN, VDI, VDMA EN/ISO and ISA. By strictly avoiding all forms of dependence on equipment manufacturers, CONVAL guarantees flexible, professional results.

CONVAL integrates with other programs well, users are thus able exchange data between programs such as Excel, Access, Word, etc. This integration allows data to be exchanged with these and other programs, which is an absolute must for software packages as comprehensive as CONVAL. The program's entire functionality is made available to other applications via a COM (Component Object Model) interface, a standard developed by Microsoft for its Windows operating system.
