Opportunities to Improve Life Cycle
Performance
The Hydraulic
Institute and Pump Systems Matter have teamed up to
create a one-day Pumping System Optimization course that
provides attendees with the information needed to
conduct basic assessments of their pumping systems. Case
studies will be discussed throughout the course.
Hands-on group exercises are an integral part of this
course including: How to estimate the annual energy cost
of a pumping system, how to match a system curve/pump
curve and determine if the right pump is being used and
how to improve a pumping system and the life cycle costs
of each improvement.
As the result
of this course, participants will better understand:
-
The benefits of
improving the performance of pumping systems
-
System
optimization and basic pump system interaction
-
How to screen
pumping systems to find good systems improvement
candidates
-
How to identify
and implement basic performance improvement
opportunities
-
Basic life-cycle
cost analysis
-
How to plan and
propose an Action Plan to management

Optimizing Pumping Systems: A Guide For Improved
Energy Efficiency, Reliability & Profitability
Considered the most comprehensive book on optimizing
pumping systems, this books was compiled by Pump Systems
Matter and the Hydraulic Institute working with
twenty-two industry experts. This book is valued
at $195. Additional copies may be purchased
from the Hydraulic Institute.
Pump System Basic Assessment Guide:
Pump Systems Matter worked with sponsor BC Hydro to
develop this guide outlining the process of a Basic or
Level I pumping system assessment. This assessment guide
provides pump system examples that could be investigated
further for cost-effective system improvements. It
includes a form to gather the needed data on the pumping
systems.
Course Participant Guidebook:
To maximize the value of your learning experience
during and after the training course, your extensive
course manual has been designed with many useful
guidelines and key points of information covered in the
course.
You will find this manual to be an excellent resource
for retrieving concepts taught during the seminar and
applying them back on the System assessment process.
Course Certificate:
At the conclusion of the training course, you will be
awarded an attractive Certificate of Completion from the
Hydraulic Institute for confirmation of your 7 hours
continued educational credits.
"Additional Resources" Document:
This document includes information to
follow-up activities such as webinars and surveys.
