Fluid Dynamics Expert Presenting at Valve World 2010
Conference
LACEY, Washington -
Engineered Software, Inc., the leading provider of
software used to design and simulate the operation of fluid
piping systems announced that it has been granted at speaking
spot at the 2010
Valve World Conference. This year the Valve World Conference
will be located in Düsseldorf, Germany, in conjunction with the
Valve World Expo from November 30 to December 2, 2010.
Engineered Software's Chief Engineer and CEO,
Ray
Hardee, P.E. will be presenting back to back on two topics
related to fluid dynamics. The first session, "Comparison of
resistance coefficient calculation methods for various valves
and fittings under turbulent and laminar flow conditions," will
begin at 9:00 AM on Thursday December 2nd. The
information covered in this session is based upon research
conducted during update process to Crane Technical Paper 410.
The second session will follow immediately at 9:30 AM covering,
"Using Fluid Flow Simulation Software to Troubleshoot Problems
with Control Valves in Operating Piping Systems."
Ray T. Hardee, P.E. has over 30 years
experience in the fluid handling industry. He is author of the
book, "Piping
System Fundamentals," and has written dozens of articles and
papers to various magazines and standards publications and has
given over a thousand presentations on fluid piping around the
world.
"We are excited to be making our two
presentations at the Valve World Conference this year," said
Hardee. "Since the update and addition of new equations to the
Crane TP-410, we have wanted to highlight some of the different
methods outlined in the book for making common fluid dynamic
calculations for valves and fittings. It will also be highly
valuable to demonstrate how easily engineers can troubleshoot
problems with control valves. These will be great take-aways for
anyone having to understand how valves affect their piping
systems," Hardee added.
Engineered Software will also be displaying
their entire product line at the exhibit show in Hall 4,
booth #E47. The PIPE-FLO product line is used by designers
and operators to gain a clear picture of their fluid piping
systems. The program allows users to visualize their systems in
a familiar format, calculate system operations, easily
communicate the design with others, and access supporting
documents in electronic format.

Hardee, or other ESI Representatives attending show by
