Newest Members of the PUMP-FLO Family

These are latest Manufacturer additions to the PUMP-FLO Catalogs

Over the past quarter, two pump manufacturers have chosen the PUMP-FLO™ software to streamline their pump selection process. Guth Ventiltechnik and Kinetic Pump are the newest members of the PUMP-FLO Solutions family and one of them is our first German pump manufacturer.

We added our first German pump manufacturer, Guth Ventiltechnik, who has chosen our desktop version and the PUMP-FLO.com pump selection platforms to make their catalogs available for their customers to quickly select a pump, no matter their location. Guth Ventiltechnik is a sanitary pump manufacturer that makes pumps for food, pharmaceutical, and chemical process applications.

Also, Kinetic Pump based in Michigan chose our ePUMP-FLO program for their pump line, and will be online very soon. Kinetic produces ANSI pumps for the industrial, commercial, HVAC, and municipal markets. Kinetic Pump’s online catalog will be available in the coming months on their website so make sure to visit: http://kineticpump.com/ Check back soon.

Guth Ventiltechnik’s catalogs available for download to use with the PUMP-FLO software now. Please check the PUMP-FLO.com website and our catalog download page at http://www.pump-flo.com/manulist.asp for the latest catalog additions.

The creation of an Electronic PUMP-FLO Catalog, or eCatalog, is a team effort between Engineered Software and the pump manufacturer. If you would like to see a manufacturers' catalog added to our list, please email info@pump-flo.com or call 800-786-8545. Don’t be afraid to ask your pump manufacturer about when they will be available for selection with the PIPE-FLO, Flow of Fluids, and PUMP-FLO programs.

The PUMP-FLO Update Newsletter has a New Online Archive!

Visit the PUMP-FLO Update Archive for Past Issues

We are quite excited to announce that The PUMP-FLO Update has a home online for our past issues. The PUMP-FLO Update has been long overdue for an online archive of past issues. The newsletter is quarterly, so there are only issues from the last two and a half years, but we expect this to grow in the coming years.

We are making past issues available as another resource for PUMP-FLO users to refer to when they want to catch up on which catalogs have been added or past Ask an Engineer articles.

Ask a (Software) Engineer

This month’s AAE article is a little different, and since we are mainly a software company, we thought we could help explain the finer points of using RSS feeds. Please read on to see our common question…

Q. What is RSS and how do I subscribe to a feed?

A. RSS stands for Really Simple Syndicate. RSS is a way to distribute news, blogs, and other interesting content to subscribers. Usually RSS feed will come in the form of a summary or short synopsis, with a link back to the full content.

To subscribe to any RSS you need to have an RSS feed reader, or news aggregator. There are many options available for RSS feed readers, and each one has the same basic functions (subscribes to feed, checks for new content, displays your subscriptions).

Microsoft explains adding RSS to Outlook here: http://ow.ly/1R8q

List of other Feed Aggregators: http://ow.ly/1RgI

Engineered Software now has a variety of new feeds that you can subscribe to and keep abreast of the entire “goings on” here at ESI, and PUMP-FLO Solutions.
