PIPE-FLO Feature of the Month
Changing Fluid Properties between Lineups in PIPE-FLO
Within lineups, you can change the type or physical properties of the fluids running through your system. When you initially create your system, one of the first things you will set up is Fluid Zones. This is done in the “System/Settings” dialogue box. If you are planning to change the fluid properties in your system between lineups, it is good to think of these Fluid Zones as areas of your system that will contain the same type of fluid (as opposed to what fluid is actually going into the zone for any particular lineup). Spring 2008 FLO-MASTER Seminars
Hooray, hooray, the February FLO-Master is here! Our first FLO-Master class in Las Vegas was SOLD OUT! Luckily, there are still spaces available in our March FLO-Master.

The seminars are two days, with the second day completely focused on real-world examples and hands-on use of the PIPE-FLO program. All the newest features are covered as well as the program basics for anyone who needs a brush-up on the essentials.
Examples will include advanced pumps and controls, variable frequency drives, two-way communication with Microsoft Excel using X-Link, balancing a system expansion, sizing pumps in series with a large campus chilled water system, and dynamic time simulations with Overtime.

Spring 2008 Piping System Fundamentals Training
Piping System Fundamentals training classes are almost here! There is still spaces available in the first class on March 26 & 27th in Baton Rouge, LA, but time is running out to get the early registration price. Save $100 off the regular price.
The two-day course has been developed for anyone needing to obtain a clear picture of the operation of the total fluid piping systems. This course does not explain or include tutorials on particular software, but instead discusses meaningful principles that explain why and how piping systems physically work and operate.
The New Piping System Fundamentals course uses a minimum of math formulas with an emphasis on understanding the relationships between components making up a piping system. Attendees will receive a course workbook, a copy of CRANE’s TP410, and the new book Piping System Fundamentals: The Complete Guide to Gaining a Clear Picture of Your Piping System. The course is worth 1.4 Continuing Educational Units (CEU) or 14 Professional Development Hours.

We had a great time at our first Spring FLO-MASTER Seminar in Las Vegas, on February 7-8, it was quite a full house! We enjoyed returning to one of our largest customer bases.
Our new Piping System Fundamentals training will be given to a special limited audience in Piqua, Ohio on February 26-27, followed by the first regularly scheduled class on March 26-27 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
A representative from ESI will be attending the ConExpo in Las Vegas held March 11-15, 2008. If you will be attending the ConExpo – Con/Agg 2008 show and are interested with meeting with someone from the ESI team, send us an email. We love meeting new people.
It was great to see everybody who was at the AHR Expo in New York on February 7-9. We had a fantastic show and it was great to meet new people and to see many familiar faces!
