PIPE-FLO Professional Verification and Validation

All Engineered Software programs go through a rigorous test procedure to ensure the products we supply provide consistent program operation and accurate results. After much anticipation, a software Verification and Validation package has now been made available for the PIPE-FLO Professional program.
The 2007 PIPE-FLO Professional Verification & Validation package documents the entire testing procedure and demonstrates that each program feature is adequately tested. The software Verification and Validation document is reviewed and approved by the software development team and engineering test group.
This new 2007 PIPE-FLO Professional Verification & Validation package comes with a 50 page booklet explaining our testing and calculation procedures, consultation with our team of skilled engineers, an interactive presentation explaining the V&V process, PIPE-FLO sample test systems, and working spreadsheets that can be used with the X-Link feature of PIPE-FLO Professional.

PIPE-FLO Professional Awarded Honorable Mention
Engineered Software, Inc. recently received a 2008 Innovation Award Honorable Mention on behalf of the AHR Expo and its sponsors, ASHRAE and ARI. Engineered Software was selected as one of the most innovative products among the thousands to be displayed at the exposition in New York City.
“We are surprised and very pleased to receive an honorable mention from the AHR Expo panel,” said Ray Hardee, P.E. and Chief Engineer for Engineered Software, Inc. “We are grateful to be recognized for our contribution to the HVAC industry,” he added.
The AHR Expo is the world’s largest HVAC&R tradeshow, and will be taking place on January 22 – 24, 2008. The 2008 Innovation Award winners are determined by a panel of seven judges selected by the ASHRAE Journal based on their knowledge of the HVAC&R industry and its products. Winners will be recognized at an awards ceremony during the AHR Expo.
“We’re raising the standards of the fluid piping software industry and our newest version of PIPE-FLO Professional is a perfect example,” said Michael Blondin, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Engineered Software. “For instance, we understand that engineers are familiar with using spreadsheet programs to conduct basic engineering calculations. This gives engineers the ability to do complex calculations in a format that is familiar to them,” he explained.

Training Opportunity
300-Hour Advanced Piping Technologies Program
The University of Zaragoza’s Polytechnic Engineering
School (Spain) is holding the second edition of a 300-hour Advanced
Program in Piping Technologies starting January 15, 2008.
This program will be conducted through the Internet and
is open to all engineers/technicians interested in piping throughout the
world. The main language of the program is Spanish.
The course makes extensive use of the PIPE-FLO software in order to
provide better understanding of the variety of problems that can arise
in piping facilities. This also allows students in the class an
opportunity to gain a certain level of expertise with the PIPE-FLO
software.
