Below are the latest customer success stories.

Schendt Engineering Corporation

Schendt Engineering conducts system analysis in very large campus settings including a 1 million square foot Compaq computer facility and a large Veterans Administration Medical Center. These systems are extremely complex and require both skilled engineering and a hydraulic analysis program that allows users to diagram their system and conduct complex calculations. To meet their hydraulic analysis needs, Schendt Engineering turned to PIPE-FLO. Full Story

Bill Kane, Manufacturing Technologist at Monsanto has used the PIPE-FLO product line for seven years to analyze plant distribution systems. Bill relied on both PIPE-FLO Professional and Compressible when analyzing steam, compressed air and water systems in the Monsanto Plant in Luling, LA. PIPE-FLO was used on numerous projects throughout the plant, including one large project where the company optimized the plants compressed air system saving $40,000 per year in energy costs. Full Story
Drummond The Drummond Company uses PIPE-FLO to conduct hydraulic analysis on the extremely dynamic piping system in their Shoal Creek Coal Mine in Tuscaloosa, AL. Their complex underground system contains 168 pumps and moves more than 18 million gallons of water every day. In addition, the system is constantly changing as conditions vary due to elevation changes as coal is removed from the mine. Full Story
More than 10 years ago, Frank Porbeck, went searching for the ideal hydraulic analysis program to conduct both initial system design and upgrades to current systems. Frank needed a universal, easy-to-use program that could solve complicated calculations quickly including looped systems and indeterminate flows. Full Story
Shah Smith Shah Smith & Associates faces the challenge of working with clients who are in the process of expanding or who have already expanded their chilled water systems. Jeffery N. Bolander, D.Eng, P.E. and Vice President at Shah Smith & Associates has been using the PIPE-FLO product line to conduct hydraulic analysis on these systems for nearly 10 years. Full Story
Parker, Messana & Associates As a full service engineering firm, Parker, Messana & Associates work on large, complex systems with multiple branches and pumps. To conduct hydraulic analysis, the company used a spreadsheet designed in-house by one of their engineers. This was both cumbersome and time consuming. Parker, Messana & Associates needed n hydraulic analysis tool that was both efficient and easy-to-use. Full Story
M3 M3 Engineering & Technology uses PIPE-FLO to design and troubleshoot large mining operations in North and South America. These leaching systems are extremely complicated as they involve multiple pumping stations into branching piping systems that cover many acres with different sections operating at different times. Full Story
Great Lakes As the lone engineer on many of the plants projects, Engineer John Pietranski had to balance a number of duties and there was not always time to complete many of the design and validation calculations that would save Great Lakes Chemical money. Using PIPE-FLO, John was able to complete validation and balance calculations quickly and easily. Full Story
Glosten The Glosten Associates had an innovative product idea, but there was a major stumbling block in the process of taking the project from the idea stage to the production stage. Utilizing the PIPE-FLO SDK, they were able to overcome this stumbling block quickly, effectively and with limited expense. Full Story
Harris Group Harris Group Inc. knows the importance of improving business practices to save time and provide a better solution for the customer. Using PIPE-FLO, Harris Group Inc. was able to quickly and easily identify the system bottlenecks, saving over 150 engineering hours and paying for the software many times over. Full Story
Enertech Ener-Tech Associates, Inc. (ETA) had to model and analyze a customer's complex pollution control system. This success story highlights many of the key factors in the decision to use PIPE-FLO over the traditional spreadsheet approach. Full Story
Vulcan Chemicals Vulcan Chemicals needed a tool to quickly and accurately show how newly installed pumps operate within their piping systems. Using PIPE-FLO, Vulcan was able to size and troubleshoot pumps for the entire system. Full Story
Weir Specialty Pumps Weir Specialty Pumps was faced with an unexpected problem with a series of high-pressure pump failures in a customers system. Weir Specialty Pumps' team of engineers used PIPE-FLO to model the system and communicate to the customer that the problem was the exact opposite of what was expected. Full Story
Black and Veatch Black & Veatch used PIPE-FLO to confirm that a large de-mineralized water distribution system with 4000 feet of 1-inch pipe could operate with a desired flow rate of 2.5 GPM. Using PIPE-FLO's supporting pump manufacturers catalogs, Black & Veatch was able to import the actual pump curves used in the system. Full Story
York Snow When York Snow, Inc. needed a tool to design a snow making system with over 44 miles of pipe and 8 high-pressure pumps for a site at the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, they turned to Engineered Softwares PIPE-FLO program for the solution. Full Story
